Blistering harmony.
What I witnessed was a band in perfect communication, having a great time and letting the audience enjoy the fruits of their labor. The mule delivered song after song of perfectly played tunes. They have also developed a more elaborate light show over the years that really serves to enhance the moment. They are a band that any working or aspiring musician needs to see, they set the standard for how it should be done.
govt mule kick the walls and ceiling of the state theatre
govt mule are an improvisational hard rock band that get better everytime i watch them.opening with the song world boss they let the near sold out audience that we in for one of the best concerts of the year.they even went back to the first album on the third song and played left coast groovies.just when i thought the show couldnt get any better the band broke into a magnificant cover of since ive been loving you by led zeppelin. i cant criticize perfection and when the mule play funny little tragedy going in and out of the beds to big without you and message in a bottle they are masters! in the second set of the show they blew into soulshine by the allman brothers band proving it is still a searing 90s anthem in 2017.a thundering rendition of when the levee breaks proved that this is a band rooted in hard rock blues. they closed the 2 hours and 45 minute show with long as i can see the light by ccr.i asked a little girl outside with her dad if she liked the show and she just smiled .
Musicians extraordinaire
I was glued to my seat for the 2 plus hour show. We sat in the balcony center section. The view, comfort and easy access a big plus. The only disappointment was the keyboardist was inaudible. He is a formidable player and his contribution was missed. We will definitely be attending their next show. Thank you Gov’t Mule for coming to Wichita.

GOVERNMENT MULE JAM ON
Great concert, great venue, great crowd. Everyone seemed to be having a blast. We walked in a few minutes after their first set started and everyone was standing...well, we never sat down. Endless jams and a great light show made the evening pass quickly. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is that they didn't play my favorite tunes. I know, I know you can probably say that about every concert you've been to. Anyway, great musicians and their Led Zeppelin covers were outstanding. Awesome evening. Not a show for kids really and unsurprisingly if you know the Mule's music, not a lot of women, just a lot of dudes out having a great night and floating on endless guitar riffs. Love the Mule.
