I THINK DANE WAS COOKIN'...!

I think it is a shame that fans from the Florida show felt the need to comment on Dane's weight, but everyone is a critic in this age of social media. I am a 60 year old female, who loved the 3/9/19 Boston show, do not give a damn how much Dane weighs, he still looks great...I was as impressed as I used to be by his comic timing / rhythm, his innate ability to rock the physical aspects of his show (he was bouncing back and forth from one side of the stage to the other, physical nuance is everything in comedy!) and his overall intelligence is enjoyable. He does focus on sex and semen a bit much for me, but his audience is mostly youngsters who appreciate that type of humor, so he is playing to his base, I can handle it, the positive greatly outweighs the negative...glad he is back and glad he is playing smaller venues, 'cause I ain't goin' to the Garden to see anyone anymore, not even the Great Dane! :) SueJ

DANE COOK - TAFT THEATER - 04/05/19

First off, Dane Cook was not old or fat, he looked good. As for the show, the guy that opened for him (Matt Rife) was pretty funny. I would recommend checking him out. Dane Cook came onto the stage and did not disappoint despite my expectations being so high. He was just as hilarious as he used to be back in the day (which was a Wednesday by the way). He was interactive with the crowd and done a lot of movements and sound effects with his jokes that always makes his jokes unique. He had a lot of new great relatable material with hints of his old stuff mixed in. It was an amazing show, and I'm so thankful after all these years that Dane Cook came out and did another tour so I could finally see him live.

DANE COOK - FLORIDA THEATRE

To be honest a TOTALLY great show...even the audience was FABULOUS! The opening comedian, who someone PLEASE tell me his name, was so damn funny! And of course Dane Cook....everyone in the theater had a great time for sure. I need the name of the opening comedian!

I LIKED IT!,,

I laughed a lot and had this kind of uncontrollable giggle for the most part of it! I enjoyed it! Funny! Whitty! Smart! I’m glad I went!

DANE COOK CRUSHED IT

Saw Dane last night, 4/23/22, at Wang Center. He had us laughing all night, and laughing all the way home just talking about it. He performed for 90 minutes, interacted with audience, and made a ton of Boston references which had us cracking up. His physical comedy is the best. He exceeded our expectations.

A LOCAL GIFT

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. When tickets for your show went on sale in the spring, I bought a ticket immediately and booked a hotel room for that night. (No reason.) You made me laugh so hard that I cried. I am grateful that you have become ever better at making us laugh at your observations about the human condition, including our frailties. Thank you also for showing empathy in giving two comics the change to be opening acts and someday following it your footsteps.

TOO SHORT

Opening act and Dane were really funny but less than an hour and 15 min for both acts was really disappointing. At least 90 min or 2 hours would be better.

NOT GREAT

Firstly he never tells it like it is, I am not sure why it was called that. The material was ok but seemed made up and mostly about himself. He called someone in the crowd a narcissist which he would know. I laughed a few times to be fair and he is very quick when speaking with the crowd. I think Dane still has it in him but was definitely not ready for this tour. Dane needs to do some soul searching as I feel that this act looked a little sad and desperate.

HE COULD HAVE DONE BETTER

Mohegan sun 2023. Started well but around the third bit he started playing them far too much.the material didn’t support this. Before the halfway mark a steady stream of people were leaving, I’ve never seen that a a comedy show before. I liked him but he should have written more jokes and shortened the bits. Opener was great we will be hearing more from him.

JUST OK.

The comedian, who opened the show for him was fantastic. Danes act was somewhat choppy and did not have a good flow. He’s a great comedian, but really needs to work on this act. A weird story about a pimp was just that, weird.

UNCRUSHING IT!

Ever since I bought my tickets last March, at $160 a pop,, my hubby, our two friends and I have been waiting with great anticipation for last night... The opening act was pretty good, but sadly, Dane Cook who was barely recognizable due to major weight gain, disappointed a lot of his fans by showing up on stage looking as he had just fallen out of bed, and by delivering a very short routine ( seemed like a very short show). While we had a Few good laughs, at $40/half hour, one would expect to have a solid energy packed good time without the mediocre bits... We came to see Dane Cook... and I’m not sure that’s who we really got... :-( I guess our expectations were high but the hot, energy packed dude who cracked us up non stop on TV just wasn’t there...The venue was good and we had a great view from the left side of section 11- row 9 or so.

NOT THAT GREAT

The set was short, but what was really disappointing was the last bit which was 30 minutes long and not that funny. Sadly he went to low level sex jokes and stayed there after some good opening material. Too bad because there was a good size crowd Saturday night who were ready to get on board but it just didn't happen.

DANE COOK MAY 4, 2019

I was disappointed in the Dane cook show at the Riverside in Milwaukee WI on Saturday night May 4, 2019. I watched almost every one of his online stand up comedy specials and have loved him for years. I was so looking forward to laugh my ass off. I looked around me and not many people were laughing that much or that hard. The first guy who open for him talked way too fast and I could hardly understand what he was saying. That was a Bore. I kind of wish I would not have seen the show because then I still would like Dane Cook. I’m not really that much of a fan anymore. When walking out hardly anybody was talking. People were not saying they liked it but they were not saying they did not like it. One would think if someone liked it they would be talking a lot about what they liked about it. I guess he’s older now so the material that he used to Touch On is in the past. I would not recommend going to see the show. I should have continued cutting my gras s I am doing my yardwork, instead of spending money on food and drinks before the show and spending the $55 for my ticket to see him. Sorry that I don’t have a lot of positives to say

DANE COOK

Not impressed:( It wasn’t a waste of money, but he wasn’t as funny as he use to be. He didn’t perform that long at all.

2.0 star rating Dave from New York, New York

ZZZZZZZZZ

Show was not what I expected. For a comic as great as Dane to come out w material like that was horrible. Was depressing that he came out and was talking about 29 years in comedy but hasn’t done anything for the past 10 years. Had a few funny lines but not worth the night out. Ended up leaving early when I was nodding and when I got to the lobby, we weren’t the only ones. Should’ve stayed home and watch his old shows

DANE COOK AUSTIN

Not that funny, not the same comedian. Loooong stories which weren’t funny. Distracted by engagements w audience. Wasted a lot of money on this show and had much higher expectations.

NOT THE SAME DANE COOK

Saw him a few days ago at the Del Lago casino Vine theater show. Really disappointed! It was ironic (the only funny thing about his show, frankly) that he talked about filling Madison Square Garden with 20K fans twice, while saying it in front of a lot empty seats in the 2,400 seat theater. For 2 tickets in the cheap balcony seats and after fees, it was a $160 of wasted money in my opinion. Wish I read these reviews before buying tickets. You're not the same comic my friend. Seems like you're just calling it in now a days.

HUH?

My husband surprised me with tickets and I was really excited until..... let’s just say that the show starting 1/2 hour late was really annoying! The opening guy was ok, but Dane Cook was a real disappointment. I have been a huge fan for years but I’m looking at him a little differently now. Show was too short and it started too late. I try not to be too judgmental but we paid A LOT of $$ for that? Huh? I’m confused. Also the seating at the Chelsea was so tight I felt like the guy sitting next to me was sitting on my lap! Very very uncomfortable! Not having any Canadian whiskey was a real downer as well! Overall rating for the night “2”.

HORRIBLE

I’m sorry but he talked about himself a lot and it wasn’t even funny. He told unrealistic story about a stalker it was way too long and it just wasn’t funny. I was so bored I kept looking at the time I wanted to leave so bad I think he thinks he’s funny by the way he saying it but what he’s actually saying isn’t funny at all

NOT AS GOOD AS HE USED TO BE

I’ve seen day on almost every tour since 2007. I had heard this tour was great. The Opening act Adam Rae or Ray? Was way better. I would’ve rather seen him for an hour. Dane started off promising but then just talked about his 29 year long career, living in a mansion, some made up stalker story which was way too long, boring and calling her so ugly he sounded like an immature child. Anyway it wasn’t the Dane I’ve seen before and if this is his new type of comedy he’s lost a fan. It was so boring I kept checking the time and awaiting a laugh.

NOT WORTH IT

Wasn’t as funny as he used to be my gf surprised me with tickets and I was excited the show started 30 min late and wasn’t all that funny especially his story about his stalker

HORRIBLE- KICKED MY BF OUT

Dane Cook started off with his stalker story, which had funny moments. Then moved onto funny material and lastly engaged with the audience. He kicked out a couple who the husband did NOTHING, and his wife all she did was stand up and raise her hand because DANE asked the audience a question. Dane called on the woman and kicked the couple out after she said something. Maybe she was being belligerent...? Not sure.. Dane moved to the stage where we were and my boyfriend and I were sitting and he said "Beastmode" Which Dane questioned what my bf said and he repeated. Next thing we know, he's being 'escorted' out. I was pissed so I asked the security guard what's up and he said that he they were given specific instructions to not call out at Dane and that my bf was not kicked out. Shocking as Dane was seeking audience to engage with him. Stupid. I think our snapchats after the show about Dane Cook were more entertaining than his show. BUT, Matt Rife was so GOOOOOD!!! Huge fan of him now!!

SADLY AWFUL

Millennial here. Grew up recording Dane Cook on DVR and watching him on HBO. Used to think he was amazing. I paid 300 bucks to go see him with my friend tonight. Sadly it was a waste of money and more importantly time; I left early. First off, a woman paid God knows how much to see him after tearfully explaining she had almost died at his last show. Instead of taking the opportunity to commend this obviously COMMITTED fan, he turned into an awkward tasteless joke. I left after he stared making jokes about autistic people as I have an autistic son. I was so damn disappointed. I used to love this comedian. Sadly he and his first opening act SUCKED. The second opening act was the best performer on the entire stage.

SO GLAD I GOT TICKETS FOR FREE

Just plain awful. Walked out early. His second opener was great! At one point though it was just Dane describing videos he saw online... I did not laugh once. Ok I admit I did laugh once, when he came out in his WAY too tight skinny jeans. I think he thought he looked good in those, so that made me laugh.
